Bosco Hockey Club Games this Weekend

Good evening Bosco Junior Players and Supporters,

The season got off to a fine start last weekend with clear skies greeting us for the first weekend of the junior competition.

There were some good first round results, with the Under 9’s and Under 13’s scoring big first up wins and the Under 11 team sharing the points in a hard fought draw.

This weekend sees teams playing at the following times:

Under 9 v Cronulla RSL Tricky Sticks – 9am

Under 11 v Cronulla RSL – 10am

Under 13 v Cronulla RSL Rockets – 11:15am

Website

There seems to be some issue with getting access to the website. All Revolutionise based sites (including the Association site) are having the same problem for some reason. Hopefully that will be resolved shortly.

Uniforms

The socks are in, as are boy’s shirts for Under 11’s and 13’s. Please see Melissa on Saturday morning for these items. We will invoice you for the cost of these items later next week.

Canteen

Thanks to everyone for jumping in and assisting with the canteen last week.

We have two other canteen duties throughout the season, on Saturday 11^th May and Saturday 22^nd June. Named rosters will be posted for those duty days closer to the day.

Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser

We have secured a Bunnings Kirrawee BBQ day again this season, on Sunday 2 June 2019. These days typically run from 8am to 4pm, so volunteers from all teams and all families will be required throughout the day. A more detailed roster will be posted closer to the day.

Representative Hockey

The Sydney South Representative Hockey program is moving along, with Under 15 trials this weekend.

Under 11 and Under 13 trials are set down for Sunday 28^th April and Sunday 5^th of May. Applications to participate are on the Sydney South website – when it is working again. We will post links in future newsletters.

School and Association Rep Players

Please let us know if you are selected in a school based or Association representative team, so that we can recognise your achievement in our newsletter and on the website.

This week we have had double success for the Mecham family, with Under 11 player Isaak and Under 11 coach Luke both selected to play for Sydney East in the Primary and Secondary hockey teams respectively. Well done young men.

Also selected for Sydney East in the Secondary teams was Under 13 player Annie Flack. Congratulations Annie, we look forward to hearing about your success this season.
