With the sun now set on another winter, Bosco Hockey Club is reflecting on another season with pride.

Bosco fielded a single team in the Sydney South Hockey Association Women’s Competition held at Marang, Greenhills every Saturday afternoon from the end of March till September.

Completing 17 games of the season, the team finished mid-table and was competitive in most matches, with only a goal of two separating teams in most of the games.

The Bosco team is a close-knit team with players ranging from 14 to 70 years old.

A number of players have been lifelong players for Bosco, with the team also contributing to the Association’s representative program.  This season we had one U15 Sydney South Rep chosen, two U18 Sydney South Rep chosen and three 45.2s Sydney South Rep chosen.  Quite an achievement for such a small club.

Thank you to all players who featured for the Club in 2023, we hope you enjoyed the season.  Thank you to Haylee McNally for umpiring for Bosco all year, often umpiring 2 or 3 games on a Saturday.

Thank you also to the Competition organisers and the Board of the Sydney South Hockey Association for continuing to provide an opportunity for players to play locally and to represent the Association.
